Changing contact or banking information
To ensure that OPB (on behalf of the PJPB) can send you necessary information about your pension, it is important that your contact and banking information on file is accurate.
To update your address, name, or banking information:
Contact OPB’s Client Care Centre, which handles PJPP client needs, at 416-601-4037 or 1-844-432-9024, Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or email pjpp.inquiry@opb.ca.
For address changes, notice should be provided at least 30 days in advance, if possible.
For name changes, government-issued identification (e.g., a copy of a marriage certificate) will be required if applicable, as well as a completed Spousal Declaration Form available on the Forms page.
For banking changes, provide OPB with a new void cheque or an updated bank deposit form via email. As this information is sensitive, please ensure you send us this using an email you trust on a protected network. If possible, notice of any account, branch or bank change should be provided at least 30 days before your next pension payment. As a precaution, your “old” account should be left open until you start receiving payments in your new account.
