Pension pay dates and direct deposit
Your pension is paid monthly by OPB and is deposited directly into your account. Payments are made on the 22nd of each month or, if that is a holiday, the preceding business day.
Once your pension payments start, if you need to make any banking changes, please contact OPB for assistance or provide us with a VOID personal cheque or other valid bank slip to confirm the change. You will also need to complete form PJPP5014 - Sitting and Retired Judge Information Change (PDF) , which is used for contact and beneficiary changes. Your bank or institution representative will have to complete some sections unless you provide a VOID personal cheque or other valid bank slip.
Receiving your pension outside of Canada
Pension payments can be made even if you move outside of Canada, though there are banking and tax implications to consider depending on your location.
For more information, please contact OPB’s Client Care Centre.
