2026 Cost of Living Adjustment for PJPP Pensioners

The Provincial Judges Pension Plan (PJPP) has applied the 2026 cost of living adjustment to retired members’ pensions. Effective with the January 2026 payment, pensions will increase by 2.0%.

This annual adjustment is calculated using changes in the Consumer Price Index (CPI), comparing the average CPI for the 12 months ending September 2025 with the average CPI for the same period ending September 2024.

For pensioners who began receiving a PJPP pension in 2025, the 2026 adjustment will be prorated according to the number of months pension payments were received during 2025. Eligibility for the full annual adjustment will begin next year.

Updated pension amounts reflecting the 2.0% increase will be deposited on January 22, 2026.
