OPB’s 2023-24 Sustainability Report

We are pleased to share our Sustainability Report(opens in a new tab) which builds on our 2022-23 inaugural report and provides an update on our sustainability activities and achievements from June 2023 to December 2024. On the investment side, we have provided an overview of the key metrics the Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO) has reported on for 2023. This report serves as OPB’s sustainable investing disclosure and covers activities and performance during 2023.

What’s included

In response to member feedback on our inaugural 2022-23 report, we have continued to simplify our reporting, making it easier to understand our sustainability approach and the progress we have made.

The report discusses our progress on:

• sustainability through environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives
• diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, policies and commitments
• how we worked with our investment manager, IMCO, to advance ESG and sustainability within our investment portfolio.

Next year, you can look forward to our sustainability reporting being integrated into our annual reporting process, which will provide our members and stakeholders with a holistic view of our annual progress across all areas, including sustainability.
