Transfers Between the OPSEU Pension Plan and PSPP

As discussed at the Benefits Coordinators meeting of October 8, 1997, the OPB must receive termination documents and full enrolment documents, including a beneficiary designation form, for all employees who transfer from the OPSEU Pension Plan to the Public Service Pension Plan (PSPP).

The enrolment documents must indicate the membership date in the PSPP, as well as the final amount of contributions paid into the former plan. This information is necessary in setting up the member's PSPP account with the correct pension credit and contributions, and in administering future pension and/or survivor benefits.

Termination documents are also required for the files of employees who transfer from the PSPP to the OPSEU Pension Plan.

Please ensure that the necessary documentation is forwarded to the OPB for all employees who are transferring between these two plans. Documentation can be sent to the attention of Ms. Veronica Harris, Manager, Data Control at the address below.
